Kierkegaard's One Thesis

"O Luther, thou hadst 95 theses--terrible! And yet, in a deeper sense, the more theses, the less terrible. This case is far more terrible: there is only one thesis. The Christianity of the New Testament simply does not exist. Here there is nothing to reform; what has to be done is to throw light upon a criminal offense against Christianity, prolonged through centuries, perpetrated by millions (more or less guiltily), whereby they have cunningly, under the guise of perfecting Christianity, sought little by little to cheat God out of Christianity, and have succeeded in making Christianity exactly the opposite of what it is in the New Testament."

I'm Letting Go

Once upon a time a man climbed down into a well,
He thought the rope was long enough to reach all the way down,
But his feet had not touched bottom when the rope came to an end
So he hung there in the darkness, too tired to climb back up again,

How far would he fall if he would just let go?
In the darkness there was no way to know,
So using all his strength; with all of his power,
He held on for several hours,

I'm letting go,
There is darkness all around,
And I'm hanging by a rope,
I'm letting go,
I can't hold on much longer,
And I can't climb back out,
Please help me!
I'm letting go!

Finally, out of hope and sure he'd fall to his death,
He let go of the rope, taking one last breath,
And he fell ...... just inches to the safe rock floor,
All along it had been there just below,

I'm letting go,
There is darkness all around,
And I'm hanging by a rope,
I'm letting go,
You say You'll be my solid ground,
You say You'll never let me down,
I trust You,
I'm letting go,

I release my desperate grip on it,
There is nothing to attach me,
I fall into the darkness...
And You are there to catch me,

I'm letting go...
